Our Partners in China

Hefei-University (Hefei)
The Hefei University in the capital of Anhui Province - only three quarters of an hour from Nanjing - has numerous partnerships with German universities and colleges.

Accordingly, it has a large German language and literature department.  The cooperation provides the opportunity for "Chinese Cultural Area" B.A. students and students of all other courses of study to spend one or two semesters in Hefei with the aim of taking Chinese language courses.

Nanjing Normal University (Nanjing)

Nanjing Normal University is one of the most important universities in the People's Republic of China. It is located in the "southern capital", Nanjing, where the government of the Republic of China had its seat from 1912 to 1949. Nanjing Normal University can be traced back to the Sanjiang Normal College founded in 1902.

Our cooperation exists mainly with the German Department. We enable both our "Chinese Cultural Area" B.A. students and students of all other courses of study to spend one or two semesters here with the aim of taking Chinese language courses.

Tianjin Foreign Studies University (Tianjin)

Tianjin Foreign Studies University is located near the sea, only three quarters of an hour by express train from Beijing. It is specialized in foreign language education. It was founded as the language school of the former Tianjin Commercial University. In 2010 it was granted university status.

Our cooperation involves on the one hand the B.A. students of the course "Chinese Cultural Area", who can spend their semester abroad here. However, on the other hand the TFSU is our central partner for the M.A. programme with double degree "Languages and Business Administration German-Chinese". The cooperation enables student exchange in the BA program Languages and Business Administration.

Tianjin University (Tianjin)

For many years, Tianjin University has been repeatedly recognized as one of the best universities in China for a wide range of Engineering subjects. Its predecessor was Peiyang University, which was founded on October 2, 1895 and was the first modern university ever in China.

Since 2017, the WHZ has been cooperating with the Faculty of Precision Instruments and Opto-Electronics Engineering. The focus is on scientific exchange. However, a student exchange is also possible.

Tongji University (Shanghai)

Tongji University is the central partner of the German university consortium CDHAW. It is especially known for engineering, economics and architecture. The university goes back to the "German Medical School for Chinese in Shanghai" founded in 1907.

Within the framework of the CDHAW cooperation, we offer students of Mechatronics, Automotive Engineering, Building Services Engineering and Industrial Engineering, in particular, two-semester study visits and a double Bachelor's degree.

Zhejiang University of Science and Technology (Hangzhou)

Zhejiang University of Science and Technology is located in the charming city of Hangzhou, close to Shanghai. Founded in 1980, the university specializes in Engineering, Economics and Humanities.

Our cooperation exists mainly with the German Department.  The cooperation provides the opportunity for "Chinese Cultural Area" B.A. students and students of all other courses of study to spend one or two semesters here with the aim of taking Chinese language courses.
